Hi! If you’ve found yourself here staring at this crazy huge picture of myself, then you must want to know a little about me, your photographer!
We will go ahead and get this out of the way because EVERYONE asks….. Jay-See Eye-ls (like I love long walks down the Aisles of Target) <— That’s how you say it 😉
First and foremost, I am a wife and mother. My husband Vance is my rock and my best friend. Total cliche, I know but it really is the truth. Without him pushing me to pursue my dreams of being a photographer, supporting all of my late night binge editing and Taco Bell runs, and helping me do the mountain of laundry that seems to pile up from little newborns in my studio, he really is THE BEST! In November 2017, he was unexpectedly diagnosed with a terminal cancer called Multiple Myeloma. It was a total shock to our family and we have spent the time since completing chemo and stem cell transplants. His cancer has no cure, however we are attempting these treatments in hopes for more years to share with him. I have three very handsome baby boys who have stolen my heart and call me MOM about a million times a day and one surprise baby blessing that is a beautiful baby girl! Their names are Luke, Jaxson, Drew Thomas, and Alexis. They keep me on my toes, mostly running up and down the halls to clean their boy messes and play girl dress up, but none the less, my days would be boring without them. I also got an amazing signing bonus when I said “I do” of 3 more children, Kaleb, Blake, and Lana. So in case you were worried, I have plenty of experience with kids to say the least!
Photography was never something I saw as a possible career for myself although always interested in playing around with images, but God had other plans. I graduated in 2009 from McNeese State University in Lake Charles, LA as an RN and pursued my nursing career for a few years until this just sort of fell in my lap. Ohhhh but did I fall in love. Since opening my business in 2012, I have pursued this with my whole heart and I hope that shows in my work.
These sweet babies are my absolute favorite to photograph and so many families have trusted me with their most prized possession and that is truly an honor. So many of them I call friends and family now and for that I am so very thankful. It is my wish that you will look back at your photographs from our time together and be instantly brought back to how you felt the first moment you laid eyes on your brand new baby, those little tiny fingers and toes that you’re now wrapped around, their big milestones as their first year flew by and every special moment in between.
I would be honored if you would let me tell your story.
